The best central Atlantic marina in a great location!
|

| . . . You have an invitation to visit us! The best marina locations were selected first and nearly a century ago this location was the first marina in the area. Host to Ernest Hemingway, legions of other renowned sportsmen and original home of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, the Morehead City Yacht Basin has undergone a 4.5 million dollar renovation to once again be the premier yachting facility on the Crystal Coast. Only a few hundred feet west of the ICW just north of the Morehead City causeway bridge and State Port, the Calico Creek deepwater channel leads to a well protected basin dredged to a depth of 10 - 13 feet at mean low water. The facility has been expanded to handle 88 vessels from 30 feet to 200 feet in length. The floating docks are engineered to exacting specifications and are surfaced with Brazilian cumaru wood and washed river gravel aggregate panels. The marina slips include 65 ft. slips with 24 ft. width, 60 ft. slips with 23 ft. width, 55 ft. slips with 22 ft. width, 50 ft. slips with 20 ft. width and 45 ft. slips with 18.5 ft. width. With over 1250 ft. of transient side dockage and 30, 50 and 100 amp power, the new facility has the longest floating fuel dock in the State, refuelling five boats at a time and pumping 56 gallons per minute of fuel. The new clubhouse, bathroom and laundry facilities are incomparable. The Morehead City Yacht Basin is in the heart of downtown Morehead City with a short walk to over 20 restaurants (to see a street level map please click here).
